In 2019, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world, many universities had to pivot online using technology not yet ready to address all their needs. A resource was created to explain how students can attend the classes, split into breakout rooms (that was not available in Teams yet), and use the PowerPoint tools available to complete the worksheets. The resource was well received by staff and students.

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, many university teachers suddenly had to move their face-to-face engagements online. One university was completely new to MS Teams, but they had to use the platform for their online classes. Since the students were also busy with practical work as teachers, a resource was needed that would not only aid them in their studies but also in their work at school.
Worksheets were usually completed in class while an experiment was being done. These worksheets required students to both write and draw. But how to complete worksheets in the online environment?Â
The SME had definite ideas on what the final product should look like. It was challenging to convince her to consider other alternatives given the constraints of the project. Ultimately, the prototype convinced her to re-evaluate her initial decisions.
